Trailerboat Fisherman was arguably the very first specialist magazine in Australia to target the hugely popular trailer boat fishing scene. The magazine's main mission is the review and testing of trailer fishing and family boats sold within Australia. First printed in 1984, Trailerboat Fisherman (TBF) also includes articles on trailer boat fishing, trailer boat exploring and how-to technical articles.
TBF pages also cover any accessories which might be used, or attached to such boats. Items such as sounders, GPS, marine radios, radar, trailer rollers, brakes, lights, foils, trim tabs, seating, seat shocks, bilge pumps, canopies and rod holders - chances are they've been tested, or reviewed in TBF.
Testing of a new boat is a highly specialised task. Anyone can jump aboard a boat for an hour or two and give an opinion. However, the editor of TBF (James Hill) has been testing both power and sail for 28 years. His wealth of experience with virtually every new model (within any brand) gives him a powerful benchmark from which to report performances of new craft. He's arguably the most authoritative boat tester in Australia, both in terms of experience, career time and boats tested.
The editor is also backed by a very experienced team of writers and so it's no surprise TBF is Australia's TOP SELLING boating magazine by a long way! |

And you can be assured TBF will continue to provide the most thorough, and authoritative, testing program in the trailer boat world.
We report without fear, or favour, of any parties concerned. That's because we believe it's the public's right to know how these products will stand up in the boating community.
If you aren't already a member of our large family, you are invited to join us now. TBF is available from newsagents in Aust/NZ and, by subscription, internationally as well (USA, Canada, Norway, etc.). Subscribers have the added bonus of being able to call for assistance on any subject relating to boating, or fishing. Every working day our offices field these enquires by E-mail, fax or phone.
Subscribers should receive the magazine ahead of the newsagencies as it is mailed 10 days prior to being placed on the shelf. 12 issue subscription AU$85 represents a saving of $15.40 or 2.5 issues free. 6 issue subscription AU$45. Mailing costs world wide (land & sea) are included in the cost of the subscription. Delays may encourage overseas subscribers to pay a little extra and have their magazine mailed Air Freight. |
